Mark your calendars--we will begin accepting applications in mid-November for 2023!

Thank you for your interest in working with Camp Denali. We are fully staffed for the 2022 season. Please check back in the fall. We will begin accepting applications in mid-November and early applications get the best consideration.

We look for candidates with full-season availability, from late May through mid-September.  Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled, typically by the end of March.

The following items are required as part of a complete application, and will need to be prepared in advance of beginning your online application. Save all three items as one PDF. When you come to the option to attach your resume, select your compiled materials.

  • Cover Letter: We look forward to reading why you are interested in working at Camp Denali! How does this opportunity align with your near-term goals? What skills and experiences make you a strong candidate? What would you bring to our small but vibrant community?

  • Resume: In addition to your work experience, we look forward to learning about your educational background and volunteerism.
  • References: Please provide us with three professional references--names, titles, relationship to you, and contact information (email and phone).

Step One:

Complete the online application; upload your resume, cover letter, and references as a single attachment.

Step Two:

A one- to two-hour phone interview with the Personnel Manager to discuss what it's like to work and live with Camp Denali. Invitations to interview are sent to selected applicants via email.

Step Three:

Skilled positions, such as Cooks and Naturalist Guides may be asked to participate in a second, skills-related phone interview with the Supervisor of their department.

Reference checks will be performed concurrently with steps three and four of our process for all applicants.

Step Four:

A virtual interview with a current or former staff member. This informal conversation is a great opportunity for you to get the scoop about what it's like to work with us from an insider.

We regret we do not typically hire J1 or H2B visa holders. All employees are required to provide proof of identity and employment authorization that is valid through the length of their employment and does not require employer sponsorship.
